The Covid-19 community experience is turning out to be more of a marathon than a sprint. Isolated, anxious, and unsure of what will happen next, our response to the virus has already taken weeks, and we don't know when it will end.

What can we do to take care of ourselves and others during this difficult time? How can we rely on God to help us survive -- spiritually, physically, and emotionally -- and to do God's work in the world? In this course, four instructors offer suggestions to help us manage this period of anxiety, danger, and social isolation. The lectures include:

Rhythm -- James Farwell, Professor of Theology and Liturgy at Virginia Theological Seminary discusses the importance of maintaining healthy patterns of behavior, even though we have been forced to alter our usual patterns.
Care -- Stephanie Spellers, respected author and Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Evangelism, Reconciliation and Stewardship of Creation, discusses ways to care for God, ourselves, our loved ones, and our creation while self-isolating.
Connection -- Author and public speaker Dorothy Linthicum discusses the importance of maintaining social connections, especially with people living alone or who are otherwise isolated, and suggests ways to do it.
Rest -- Bonnie Perry, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan, discusses the importance of rest -- of using this enforced time away from the bustle of our daily lives for contemplation, rest, and waiting.

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn coping skills as we go through the Covid-19 experience.

It will take an average student about 45 minutes to complete this course. You can pause at any time and come back. You can even re-take lessons. Each course features 3-6 video lectures that are from 5-7 minutes in length. Also included are downloadable Mp3s of each lecture plus Discussion Questions and a one-page synopsis of the course called The Takeaway.

Who’s teaching this course?
Our instructors come from a variety of traditions, mostly mainline Christianity - Baptist, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian. They meet two criteria: 1) they are well-studied, even experts, in their fields, 2) they offer a moderate viewpoint.

How long will I be able to access the course material?
Those who purchase individual courses (for $10) can access all the course materials for 6 months from the date of purchase. Those who purchase individual subscriptions ($9/mo unlimited) can the course materials for all of our courses as long as their membership is current.

Is this course downloadable?
